Multi instrumentalist Michael Gotz plays strongly improvisational jazz guitar while accompanying himself on midi foot pedals. Michael grew up loving his mother's classical music, spending countless hours listening to his sister’s Beatles albums… and then discovering the music of Miles Davis.
Performing with Michael are drummer Todd Zimberg, singer Siya Manyakanyaka from South Africa, and Etienne Cakpo from Benin on percussion, vocals, and African dancing, If Etienne's photo looks familiar, Siya Manyakanyaka you may have seen it used as a promotional image for the Seattle Folklife festival. It's a good shot!
A Family Affair
Owners, and husband and wife team, Bijal and Sinead Shah, started Woodhouse Wine Estates with Bijal’s uncle, Tom Campbell, in 2004. Joining a group of other winery greats in Woodinville, Woodhouse quickly drew attention with our beautifully crafted wines. Our flagship wine, Darighe, which means “red” in Gaelic, was so named after Sinead’s Irish roots. Next, we introduced Dussek and Maghee, named after family friends. Finally we created Kennedy Shah and Hudson Shah, named after our daughter and son.
